PORTLAND, Ore. – In the final match of the season, the Multnomah University fought hard against a Northwest team that is primed for the third seed in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament, losing in four sets (20-25, 21-25, 25-19 and 20-25) on Saturday night in Lytle Gym.
The Lions end the season with a mark of 11-18 overall, earning seven more wins than the previous season, and finished 4-16 in the CCC.
Marissa Rhodes continued her stellar performance on the weekend, collecting 37 assists as she led the Lions to a .191 hitting percentage, compared to NU's .171.

Miranda Halverson led the way again tonight in the front row and
Kiana Miller was tremendous in the back row."
Halverson tallied 17 kills while
Hannah Antal added 10 kills and Kayle Keane finished with eight.
In her final night on the collegiate court, Miller set a career record with a match high 31 digs. Halverson added 13 digs while fellow senior
Brittany Bowling was good for 12 digs.
For the Eagles, Hannah Hanson led both squads with 18 kills on 30 swings while Amanda Waterman finished with nine kills followed by Linden Lara with eight.
Morgan Pilon tallied a match high 42 assists while Sarah Warner collected 17 digs on the night.
"Kean also had her best night tonight and Rhodes was a stud setting," continued Coach Bouey.
The Lions close out their season while the Eagles will look for the pairings in the CCC postseason tournament coming out later tonight.
