Carroll Advances to Title Game in PKs over Rocky Mountain
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Once again playing to a tie after two overtime periods, top-seeded Carroll College advances to the title game of the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, defeating #6 Rocky Mountain 0-0 (4-2) in penalty kicks.
Carroll tallied 14 shots to Rocky Mountain’s six while Jamie Carter recorded two saves for the Saints in 110 minutes in goal.
The Saints fell behind early in the shootout but converted the final four attempts to advance in the tournament.
Carroll will face #5 Northwest in the championship game on Monday at noon.
