Southern Oregon Captures Ninth-Straight CCC Men’s Cross Country Championship

SALEM, Ore. – For the ninth-consecutive year, the Southern Oregon University men’s cross country team captured the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championship, winning in convincing fashion. The Raiders have now won 11 conference titles overall.

The Raiders won the meet with a score of 35, beating out College of Idaho by 29 points on the day. The Raiders were led by Connor Cushman who took second overall as an individual in a time of 26:23. Four other Raiders collected All-CCC honors with Cushman, as the Raiders dominated the race en route to their ninth-straight title. Following the championship, SOU Head Coach Grier Gatlin was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Winning the race as an individual on the day was Eastern Oregon University’s Nic Maszk, as he crossed the finish line in a time of 26:15. Maszk was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Male Athlete of the Year for his efforts.

With the Raiders placing first as a team, College of Idaho took second with 64 points, while Oregon Tech and Eastern Oregon rounded out the top four. Full Results:
