Quarterfinals for CCC Volleyball Championship Kickoff Tonight
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The quarterfinals of the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference Volleyball Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, are set to begin tonight at campus sites around the conference. To follow all the action click on:

As regular season champions, top-seeded Eastern Oregon (26-2, 19-1 CCC) receives a first-round bye and will be the host site for the semifinals and finals of the tournament. Also earning a first-round bye is second-seed Corban who finished the regular season with the best conference record in program history at 17-3, going 21-5 overall.
#3 Northwest vs. #6 Warner Pacific – Kirkland, Wash. – 7 p.m.
Entering the tournament as the third seed, Northwest (18-7, 15-5 CCC) will host sixth-seed Warner Pacific (11-12, 9-11 CCC) in the first quarterfinal match. Led by Mattie Jo Johnson with 89 blocks, the Eagles held their opponents to the second lowest hitting percentage in the conference at .123. Northwest closed out the regular season on a five-match winning streak.
Warner Pacific enters the tournament for the first time since the 2012 season. The Knights hold the third highest attacking percentage in the CCC at .208. Janessa White finished the season averaging 3.71 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .280.
Northwest claimed victories in both matches against Warner Pacific during the regular season.
#4 College of Idaho vs. #5 Southern Oregon – Caldwell, Idaho – 7 p.m. MST
College of Idaho claimed the tournament’s fourth-seed after finishing the regular season at 19-9 overall, going 14-6 in the CCC. The Yotes averaged 13.33 kills per set while holding a hitting percentage of .207. Brenna Meehan has tallied the second most kills in the conference, averaging 3.64 kills per set for C of I.
Southern Oregon (14-13, 11-9 CCC) holds the fifth seed entering the quarterfinals. Behind a conference high 119 blocks by Courtney Macklin, the Raiders are the second best blocking team and, hold their opponents to a hitting percentage of .155, the third lowest in the CCC.
C of I earned two wins over Southern Oregon in the regular season with both matches going four sets.
The winners of both matches will join Eastern Oregon and Corban in La Grande, Ore., for the semifinals beginning on Friday, Nov. 11.
