College Place, Wash- The College of Idaho Yotes (8-4, 1-1) defeated the Wolves 95-57 at Windemuth Court on Sunday afternoon to earn their first win of Cascade Conference play.

The first four minutes of the game were a defensive struggle, as both teams found it difficult to put points up.  A deep triple from Chad Torkelsen locked the two teams in a 7-7 tie with 15 minutes left in the half.  The Yotes' Gibson Berryhill responded with not one, but three triples of his own in a matter of minutes to give College of Idaho a 16-7 lead.  Alec Calloway pulled the Wolves back within four at 18-14 with back-to-back impressive post moves and a three pointer with ten and a half minutes to play in the half.  The Yotes responded quickly, however bringing their lead back up to ten at 25-15.  College of Idaho continued to add on to their lead by dominating the rebounding battle and drawing fouls in the paint.  Two free throws from Roosevelt Adams pushed the Yotes lead to 35-15 with six minutes to play in the half, minutes later another offensive rebound and put back from Matt Duniphan gave College of Idaho their biggest lead of the night at 39-17.  The Yotes continued to control the game for the remainder of the first half as they headed into the break with a 44-21 advantage.

Dylan Browning came out of the halftime break on a roll, hitting two straight hook shots in the post.  College of Idaho was still able to dominate the paint on the other end, however, and in doing so maintained a 23 point lead at 53-30.  The two teams played even  for the next five minutes, as the Yotes still held a 62-39 advantage with nine and a half minutes left in the game.  College of Idaho then proceeded to put the nail in the coffin with a 13-3 run, including two straight triples from Curtis Brever, extending the Yotes' lead to 33 at 75-42.  College of Idaho maintained control for the remainder of the contest, winning it by a score of 95-57

The Yotes' attack was led by Roosevelt Adams who tallied 19 points and 7 rebounds while patrolling the paint.  Gibson Berryhill provided the perimeter shooting for the Yotes, going 5-9 from three for 15 points.

The Wolves were led by Alec Calloway who  went 9-11 from the field for 20 points.

The Wolves will have another opportunity to snag their first win in conference play when they take on Multnomah on December 16 at 1:00p.m. in Portland, Oregon.
