RESULTS

NAMPA, Idaho - The last meet before the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships was sure to deliver record-breaking performances, and the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers didn't disappoint. 

EOU hit the road on I-84 after completing the Boise State Challenge on Saturday afternoon, and the Mountaineers took home three school records and victories in three events. 

For the 2016 indoor season, the women's team registered at least one top-10 mark in EOU history in 17 out of the 19 events, while the men racked up top-10 marks in 12 events. 

ENGLAND'S RECORD-BREAKING DAY

Junior Eric England continued his strong season in his first year as a Mountaineer, as he set a new national mark in the triple jump and also qualified for the NAIA Indoor Championships in the long jump. 

With a leap of 15.71m (51-6.50), England topped his previous national mark of 15.61m (51-2.75) in the triple jump and also captured first place at the Boise State Challenge. However, England's day didn't stop there, as the Idaho native tallied a mark of 7.08m (23-2.75) in the long jump to take second overall. 

ROELLE PUNCHES TICKET IN 1000M RUN

Junior Rachel Roelle blazed her way across the finish line with a school-record time of 2:57.86 in the 1000m run to qualify for nationals. She trounced her previous time by nearly 10 seconds. 

YARBROUGH CLINCHES WEIGHT THROW

In the men's weight throw, senior Tanner Yarbrough recorded an automatic qualifying mark of 17.34m (56-10.75) to snag first place out of 15 competitors in the event. 

FAGEN SKIES HIGH IN POLE VAULT

Senior Talitha Fagen vaulted a school-record 3.95m (12-11.50) to take third overall in the event. She upped her previous tally by almost three inches. 

CUMBERBATCH SNATCHES 60M ONCE AGAIN

In the men's 60m dash, freshman Jebari Cumberbatch took first overall with a time of 6.97 seconds, which is the second-fastest mark in program history. He holds the EOU record (6.93) in the event. 

MASZK MEETS PROVISIONAL MARK

In the men's one-mile run, junior Nic Maszk earned fifth place overall with a provisional mark of 4:20.15. In the process, he set the 10th-fastest time in program history in the event. 

OTHER NOTES

England's leap of 7.08m (23-2.75) in the long jump was the second-best effort in program history. 

- The foursome of Cumberbatch, freshman Devin Lewis-Allen, freshman Codi Blodgett, and senior Ryan Rosenau combined for a time of 3:22.44 seconds in the 4x400m relay to take second place overall. 

- In the 5000m run, sophomores Andrew Duffy (16:27.03) and Evan Rummerfield (16:54.45) mustered the ninth- and tenth-fastest runs, respectively, in EOU history. 

- Junior Kendall Current notched a PR in the 60m with a mark of 7.96 seconds. 

- In the 1000m run, freshman Amanda Welch (3:03.06) and freshman Caitlyn Rowe (3:07.27) logged the No. 2 and No. 3 marks, respectively, in program history. 

- Sophomore McKenzie Evans and freshman Stormy Bullard recorded the fourth- and fifth-best school marks, respectively, in the 5000m run. 

- In the women's triple jump, freshman Amanda Fowler tallied a leap of 10.13m (33-3.00) to move up to No 5 all-time at EOU. 

- Junior Jennifer Peters broke her tie in the record books and carded the ninth-best long jump with a tally of 4.81m (15-9.25).

EOU will compete in the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 3-5 in Johnson City, Tenn.
