Cadmar Claims First Spot in CCC Mascot Finals
LA GRANDE, Ore. – Corban’s Cadmar the Warrior continues to cruise through the Third Annual Mascot Challenge, tallying 339 votes to earn the first spot in the championship round, which is slated to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
Making his first trip to the finals, Cadmar defeated Eastern Oregon’s Monty the Mountaineer, who received 193 in the voting period.
Fighting for the last spot in the championship are College of Idaho’s Yote the Coyote and Walla Walla’s Wally the Wolf in the second semifinal round which began today. Yote will try to defend his title from last year while CCC newcomer Walla will try to make it the second upset in two weeks, after advancing to the semifinals by defeating Oregon Tech’s Hootie the Owl.
All voting is done on the conference Facebook page and will close at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
