CALDWELL, Idaho – Aitor Zubizarreta scored 20 points and Spiros Tarlas tallied a career-night, but it wasn't enough, as Warner Pacific College used two big runs to topple the College of Idaho, 101-75, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Knights (16-8, 11-4 CCC) connected on six-straight 3-point baskets in a 29-8 first half run that erased an early 12-8 C of I lead, then broke the game wide open with a 20-2 surge midway through the second half.

The Coyotes (14-11, 9-7) came out firing, getting consecutive treys from Zubizarreta and a triple from Emanuel Morgan in a 9-0 run that gave C of I their largest lead of the night just four minutes into the game.  Enter Earl Jones and Taylor Young, as Jones drained three 3-pointers and had a 3-point play in the go-ahead run, with Young making 7-of-10 shots from the field, including four triples, in the first half, as WP built a 53-35 halftime edge.

C of I was within 76-58 at the 11 minute mark after a Morgan steal and basket, but Jones answered with seven points in the 20-2 push, as the Knights led 96-60 with five minutes remaining in the game.

Jones led WP with a career high 29 points and six of the Knights 18 made 3-pointers.  Young had 23 points and eight rebounds, with Collin Malcolm (11 points, 11 rebounds) and De'Jon Bowman (10 points, 12 rebounds) each recording double-doubles.

Marck Coffin made 6-of-7 shots, scoring 14 points in the loss for the Yotes with Joey Nebeker scoring 13 points.  Tarlas was solid off the bench, scoring a career-high seven points and adding six rebounds in 12 minutes of play.  C of I struggled from outside the arc against the WP zone defense, making just 9-of-30 3-point attempts.

The Yotes close out the home regular-season schedule with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off tomorrow night vs. Multnomah.  It will be the final home date for four senior student-athletes – Coffin, Andrew Bruce, Ryan Davis and Teejay Gordon – all whom scored in tonight's game.
