Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Feb. 1-7.
Zach Draper
Baseball – Pitcher
College of Idaho’s Zach Draper has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Draper, a junior from Salt Lake City, Utah, had a dominate start against Minot State, becoming the first C of I pitcher to fan 11 batters since 2006, as C of I equaled their second-best start in school history at 8-0.

Hunter Hanson
Baseball
College of Idaho’s Hunter Hanson has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
Hanson, a junior from Yakima, Wash., has hit safely in all eight games this season, helping C of I to equal their second-best start in program history at 8-0.

Earl Jones
Men’s Basketball
Warner Pacific’s Earl Jones has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Jones, a senior from Henderson, Nev., was tremendous during two important road wins for Warner Pacific. The senior guard averaged 28 points and five assists for the weekend, making eight three pointers and shooting 58 percent from the field.

Eric England
Men’s Indoor Field
Eastern Oregon’s Eric England has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
England, a junior Meridian, Idaho, matched his season-best tally of 15.61m, also the top mark in the country in the triple jump.

Julius Shellmire
Men’s Indoor Track
Southern Oregon’s Julius Shellmire has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Shellmire, a freshman from Portland, Ore., hit NAIA Indoor Championship qualifying marks on consecutive days over the weekend at Boise State's Jacksons/New Balance Invite. He took on 'A' in the 200 meters (21.95) and a 'B' in the 60 (6.95). He also placed fourth of the overall in both events.

Lacie Crawford
Softball - Pitcher
Southern Oregon’s Lacie Crawford has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Crawford, a junior form Livermore, Calif., pitched a complete-game, six-hit shutout Saturday against William Jessup, striking out six and walking two in her SOU debut. The Raiders would go on to shut out Holy Names a couple hours later, giving them back-to-back shutouts for the first time in 10 years.

Cheyenne Barker
Softball
Eastern Oregon’s Cheyenne Barker has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
Barker, a junior from Fruitland, Idaho, totaled three hits and earned three RBIs in EOU’s two losses to Simpson.

Brianna Fiso
Women’s Basketball
Northwest’s Brianna Fiso has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Fiso, a senior from Highline, Wash., registered a double-double in the close loss to Corban and had key rebounds and points in the second half in the upset win over Northwest Christian the next night.

Harley McBride
Women’s Indoor Field
Eastern Oregon’s Harley McBride has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
McBride, a junior from Burbank, Wash., qualified for nationals with a high jump of 1.66m, finishing third out of 20 athletes.

Megan Sullivan
Women’s Indoor Track
Eastern Oregon’s Megan Sullivan has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Sullivan, a senior from Grangeville, Idaho, set a provisional mark in the prelims of the 200m dash and broke a 26-year-old record at EOU in the 400m run.
