The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Mar. 7-13.

Alex Webb
Baseball – Pitcher
 
University of British Columbia’s Alex Webb has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Webb, a senior from Surrey, B.C., was phenomenal in leading his UBC Thunderbirds to a 12-1 victory over the Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) Warriors, the NAIA's top-ranked team, on March 11 in Vancouver. He threw all seven innings in a contest that was concluded early because of the 10-run rule.
 
Webb struck out seven Warriors and gave up just four hits and a lone run to an L-C State that averaged more than eight a game. The senior from Surrey, B.C., is now 7-0 on the season, tied with two others for most wins in the NAIA.

Hunter Hanson
Baseball
 
College of Idaho’s Hunter Hanson has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Hanson, a junior from Yakima, Wash., led the Yotes to a four game sweep, recording C of I’s second multi-HR game of the year.

Cameron Bremner
Men’s Outdoor Track
 
Southern Oregon’s Camron Bremner has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Bremner, a sophomore from Tigard, Ore., made the most of his return to the track by tackling a 41-person field in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.93 seconds in the prelims and 11.08 for the win in the finals. Bremner -- who won the 100- and 200-meter CCC titles in 2014 but sat out last year due to medical issues -- also helped the Raiders to a win in the 4x100-meter relay.

Ashley Pesek
Softball – Pitcher
 
College of Idaho’s Ashley Pesek has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Pesek, a junior from Redmond, Ore., allowed just one earned run in three appearances, spanning 14.1 innings.

Alex Lowry
Softball
 
Great Falls’ Alex Lowry has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
Lowry, a senior form Great Falls, Mont., hit .375 over the past week, driving in four runs and score four of her own. Her single in the top of the seventh against College of Idaho drove in the winning run for UGF.

Carrie Wallace
Women’s Golf
 
Corban’s Carrie Wallace has been named the Red Lion Softball Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Wallace, a junior from La Grande, Ore., finished in second overall at the Pioneer Invite thanks to a 78 in Round one, leading the team to a second-place finish. Round two was cancelled due to poor weather and course conditions.

CarrieAnne Steele
Women’s Outdoor Field
 
Northwest’s CarrieAnne Steele has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Steele, a freshman from Monroe, Wash., won the long jump with her jump of 5.43m (17-09.75) just breaking teammate Michelle Perez’s school record of 5.42m set in 2014 and finished atop the triple jump standings with a distance of 11.01m (36-01.50) breaking Renee Wagerman’s record of 10.13m set in 2006.

Margot Hamman
Women’s Outdoor Track
 
Southern Oregon’s Margot Hamman has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the week.
 
Hammon, a sophomore from Moorpark, Calif., impressed in SOU's outdoor season-opener Saturday, leading the Raiders with a third-place finish in the 100 meters (12.56) and helping them to second in the 4x100 (50.80).
