Four players will be joining the Warrior Volleyball ranks in 2016 as a part of McLain's second recruiting class.

SALEM, Ore. – Corban University head volleyball coach Kim McLain announced her 2016 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon, naming four players that would be joining the tradition that is Warrior volleyball.

In her first year as head coach at Corban, McLain guided the Warriors to their first appearance in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament since 2008. On the year, the Warriors racked up 14 total wins, marking the most wins for a Corban volleyball team since 2004. In addition, three Warrior newcomers who were a part of the 2015 recruiting class garnered All-CCC honors, including the Libero of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and an All-CCC First-Team honoree. One player was also named an All-American.

"My staff and I are looking forward to working with the class of 2016," said McLain. "We believe this class will be a great compliment to our existing team!"

Adriana Aguayo – 5' 9" – Outside Hitter – High/Cactus High School – Arizona

Hailing from Peoria, Ariz., Aguayo looks to add a physical presence to the Warrior volleyball squad in 2016. While leading her high school team as a sophomore to the D3 State Championship, and to the final four as a junior, she was named a Second-Team All-District honoree in 2015. She is currently ranked as the 17th-best outside-hitter in Division 3 in the state of Arizona.

On top of her high school accolades, she is a member of the AZ Elite Volleyball club, and is the starting and leading Outside Hitter as a member of the High Altitude Thunder Volleyball Club. Aguayo plans to major in Health Science at Corban.

"Adrianna has the physical ability and height that we need offensively at the net," said McLain. She was a huge contributor during her high school seasons, as well as her club seasons where she was a six rotation player. We look forward to the passion and energy Adrianna brings to the court!"

Lauren Condon – 5' 8" – Defensive Specialist/Outside Hitter – Kamehameha Kapalama High School - Hawaii

Condon comes to Corban from Hawaii after winning the State Championship with Kamehameha Kapalama High School. While leading her team to the State Championship in 2015, she played indoor volleyball competitively for six years, and beach volleyball competitively for four years.

On top of high school volleyball, she competed for the Ka Ulukoa Volleyball Club and the Ke Kahi Kina Beach Volleyball Club. Condon plans to major in Exercise Science at Corban with the hopes of becoming an Athletic Trainer someday.

"Lauren is an excellent sand player coming to us with great ball control and knowledge of the game along with the understanding of what it takes to win championships under pressure," said McLain. "Her incredible enthusiasm and communication skills will be infectious to others around her."

Madison Youngers – 5' 11" - Middle Blocker – Ephrata High School – Washington

Youngers, a multi-talented three-sport athlete comes to Corban to compete in two sports, with volleyball being the fall sport. As an Honorable-Mention All-Conference honoree in Volleyball, she also was a First-Team All-State award-winner in the High Jump in Track & Field. Youngers competed on the varsity team all four years in volleyball, track & field, and basketball.

"Madi is a three-sport athlete and is an athletically gifted player that brings height and quickness to the net," said McLain. "Madi has the physicality to be an immediate impact both offensively and defensively."

Sarah Verhalen – 5' 8" - Outside Hitter/Opposite – CORE @ Camptonville Academy – California

Hailing from Yuba City, Calif., Verhalen is set to join the Warriors in the fall of 2016 after a solid high school career. While excelling all throughout high school and club ball, she led her team to Junior Nationals as a part of North Valley Juniors Volleyball Club during her junior season, and is currently trying to do the same during her senior year.

Prior to that, she competed on the Infinity Volleyball Academy team and the NorCal Rush Volleyball Club team, garnering MVP accolades during her time there. Verhalen plans to major in English at Corban.

"Sarah is a strong athletic six-position player," said McLain. "She comes in with the experience to compete at a high level. Sarah has a great understanding of the game, and we look forward to her contribution to our team."
