Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Apr. 4-10.
Adam Kandra
Baseball – Pitcher
Oregon Tech’s Adam Kandra has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Kandra, a sophomore from Tulelake, Calif., had his best outing of the year, throwing a complete-game shutout with 12 strikeouts.

Matthew Moorehead
Baseball
Oregon Tech’s Matthew Moorehead has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
Moorehead, a senior from Bakersfield, Calif., finished the week 7-14 with nine RBI with four Homers, he scored nine runs with a slugging percentage of 1.429

Tyler Swinton
Men’s Golf
Oregon Tech’s Tyler Swinton has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Swinton, a senior from Haines, Alaska, led the Oregon Tech men to its first ever CCC regular season title in the midst of a record-breaking season in just the third year of men's golf at Oregon Tech. The Owls finished over 200 strokes ahead of the second place team in the conference, Corban University

Tylor King
Men’s Outdoor Field
Southern Oregon’s Tylor King has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
King, a junior from Portland, Ore., placed third of 21 in the shot put, but his heave of 53 feet 8 1/2 inches was the fifth-longest in the NAIA this season. He was already an NAIA Championships automatic qualifier and now has the top mark in the Cascade Conference by 6 1/2 feet.

Jared Hixon
Men’s Outdoor Track
Southern Oregon’s Jared Hixon has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Hixon, a senior from Palmdale, Calif., topped the 1,500-meter invitational field in 3:51.24 – the top time in the Cascade Conference by over three seconds seconds, the No. 2 time on the NAIA list, an 'A' mark and a tenth of a second off his career best.
Hixon - who placed fourth in the 1,500 at the 2014 NAIA Championships but redshirted last season - became the first Raider this season with a qualifying mark in the event, and he also has a provisional qualifying mark in the 5K.

Tess Eaton
Softball – Pitcher
Carroll’s Tess Eaton has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Eaton, a freshman from San Diego, Calif., pitched the first no-hitter in Carroll history on Saturday where she struck out a career high eight batters including two innings of striking out the side. She picked up two wins and gave up no runs in 11 IP and only two hits to help the Saints to a 4-0 weekend.

Taylor Eilders
Softball
Corban’s Taylor Eilders has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
Eilders, a junior from Cameron Park, Calif., racked up nine hits and nine RBI on the week, leading the Warriors to a 5-1 overall record. She now has a CCC-best 61 hits on the year and boasts a .424 batting average.

Janelle Ferlan
Women’s Golf
Oregon Tech’s Janelle Ferlan has been named the Red Lion Softball Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Ferlan, a sophomore from Molalla, Ore., finished in a tie for 2nd place at the Corban Spring Invite at Creekside Golf Club to lead the Lady Owls.

Madeleine Nelson
Women’s Outdoor Field
Northwest Christian’s Madeleine Nelson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Nelson, a junior from Dalles, Ore., broke 40m for the first time to earn her first NAIA "A" Standard in the Javelin. Also set a new school record in the Triple Jump, missing the NAIA "B" by just 0.75m.

Irene Moore
Women’s Outdoor Track
Evergreen’s Irene Moore has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the week.
Moore, a senior from Bremerton, Wash., broke her own school records in both events set earlier this season. Her 1:03.52 in the 400 hurdles is a NAIA national meet provisional qualifier and currently ranks her 8th in the NAIA.
