Game 1 Oregon Tech 4 College of Idaho 0
Oregon Tech broke open a scoreless game in the bottom of the 6th with 4 consecutive hits to take a 3-0 lead and at the same time run C of I starting pitcher Riley O’Brien from the game. O’Brien had a no-hitter going through the first four innings. Oregon Tech’s starter Adam Kandra was impressive on the bump, going all 9-innings, giving up just 3-hits with 8-strikouts to pick up the 4-0 shutout win and improve to 4-3 on the season.

In the bottom of the 6th, Tech’s Danny Topps led off the inning with a triple and scored on Kai Fong’s single. Evan Johnson then doubled, moving Fong to third. Fong scored on a wild pitch and Johnson scored on a RBI single by Ryan Grant.

Tech added an insurance run in bottom of the 8th, Topps singled to start off the inning, he stole second base, and was then bunted over to third on a great Sacrifice by Fong. Topps then scored on a sacrifice fly by Johnson to give Tech the 4-0 lead heading to the ninth.

In the top of the 9th College of Idaho got a lead of walk by Mitch Skaggs. But Kandra was able to get the next hitter Cole Mansanerez to strike-out. After an infield error put runners on 1st and 2nd, Kandra got the next hitter Bobby Wright to fly out to left for the 2nd out of the game. Tech centerfielder Michael Kilpatrick then made a diving catch to end the game preserving the 4-0 shut-out win for the Owls.

Game 2 (Non- Conference) College of Idaho 7 Oregon Tech 2
College of Idaho scored 5 times in the top of the fourth to break open a scoreless game as the Yotes went on to win 7-2 in the non-conference game.  Niall Manning pitched the first 7-innings for C of I allowing only 4-hits with 9-strikeouts to pick up the win and improve to 2-0 on the year. College of Idaho moves to 30-15 on the year with OIT falling to 16-28.

In the 3rd the Yotes scored 5-runs highlighted by a bases loaded triple by Johnny Hyland.

College of Idaho added two more runs in the sixth inning on 3-hits and a walk to take a 7-0 lead.

Tech scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th highlighted by back-to-back RBI singles by Fong and Johnson to cut the lead to 7-2. But that would be as close as the Owls would get as neither team would score in the last inning as the Yotes picked up the 7-2 win.

CI out-hit OIT 12-8 in the game with each team committing one error.

Oregon Tech will travel to Corban University next weekend before hosting the University of British Columbia April 30 and May 1st at Kiger Stadium to wrap up the 2016 season. College of Idaho will travel to UBC next weekend.
