CCC Men’s Golf Championship Tournament Begins Today
EAGLE POINT, Ore. – The Oregon Tech men’s golf team looks to continue their success in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship presented by U.S. Bank, after winning the regular season title in the program’s third year of competition.
The two-day tournament hosted by Oregon Tech, begins later today at the Eagle Point Golf Club in Eagle Point, Ore. The format consists of teams playing 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on the second.
Oregon Tech claimed the regular season title totaling 3,485-strokes in four CCC tournaments while Corban finished in second with 3,719-strokes followed by Warner Pacific in third with 3,734-strokes.
The Owls also finished with the top five individuals in stroke average, led by Montana Frame with an average of 72.1 strokes. Following him is Josh Whitley (72.7), Houston Knox (72.8), David Murphy (73.8) and Tyler Swinton (74.4).
Jacob Berg of Warner Pacific and Aaron Seabrook of Corban each led their teams with an average of 75.7-strokes.
The team with the lowest team stroke total at the end of the tournament and the individual medalist will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships which is scheduled for May 24-27 at TPC Deer Run in Moline, Ill.
