ASHLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech’s Seth earned 6,541 points in the decathlon while College of Idaho’s Tiana Thomas tallied 4,596 points in the heptathlon to win the Cascade Collegiate Conference Multi-Event Championships presented by U.S. Bank, at Raider Stadium.
 
Gretz earned the title after coming in second place a year ago, winning four of 10 events including the 100-meter dash, the 110-meter hurdles, the pole vault and the long jump.
 
Southern Oregon’s Joe Dotson finished with multiple personal records to earn second place with 6,408 points, He racked up wins in the 400-meter run and the 1,500-meter run.
 
Corban’s Jason Bracken finished in third with 6,360 points while Daniel Brattain of Oregon Tech finished in fourth place with 5,964 points.
 
In the heptathlon, Thomas defended her title a year ago with a dominate performance, place first in four of the seven events. Her wins included the 200-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles, the shot put and the 800-meter run.
 
Coming in second place was Irene Moore of The Evergreen State with 4,397 points, earning a top mark in the long jump.
 
Corban’s Lindsay Asplund (4,067) finished in third place followed by Northwest’s Kaisa Hall (3,894) in fourth.

The CCC Track and Field Championships will continue May 13-14 in Hermiston, Ore.
