LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the conclusion of the final regular season baseball games, the NAIA West Grouping Tournament presented by U.S. Bank is set to begin at second-seeded University of British Columbia.
 
The three day, five-team, double elimination tournament will begin on Friday, May 8, with the first game starting at 10 a.m.
 
Lewis-Clark State College earned the top seed in the West Grouping and the number-one seed in the tournament after finishing a with a record of 45-7, going 30-5 in West play. Lewis-Clark State defers hosting to the second seed in the tournament, having already earned an automatic qualifier to the NAIA World Series as the host.
 
The Thunderbirds claimed the second spot and the Grouping’s first automatic qualifier with an overall record 37-18, going 23-12 in the conference.
 
College of Idaho (35-18, 22-13 West) claims the third seed in the tournament while Corban (24-25, 19-16 West) will enter as the fourth seed.
 
Representing the South Division will be Marymount as the fifth-seed, who finished 15-22-1 overall while going 11-7 in the Cal-Pac Conference.
 
The Grouping’s second automatic qualifier will be given to the tournament champion. If LCSC or UBC claims the tournament title, the second automatic qualifier will be given to the next highest finisher in the tournament.

Day 1- May 6
Game 1 10 a.m. - No. 4 Corban vs. No. 5 Marymount
Game 2: 1 p.m. - No. 2 British Columbia vs. No. 3 College of Idaho
Game 3: 4 p.m. - Game 1 Winner vs. No. 1 Lewis-Clark State College
 
Day 2- May 7
Game 4: 10 a.m. - Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser
Game 5:  1 p.m. - Game 2 Winner vs. Game 3 Winner
Game 6:  4 p.m. - Game 3 Loser vs. Game 4 Winner
 
Day 3-May 8
Game 7: 12 p.m. - Game 5 Loser vs. Game 6 Winner
Game 8:   3 p.m. - Game 5 Winner vs. Game 7 Winner
 
Day 4- May 9
Game 9: 12 p.m. - Game 8 Winner vs. Game 8 Loser (if necessary)
