KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Kelly Scott (Pictured) scattered five hits and Oregon Tech plated five runs in the third inning moving in to the championship game after a 5-0 win over No. 16 Dickinson State in today’s elimination game of the Simpson University NAIA Opening Round Bracket. Oregon Tech, a 4-2 loser to Simpson University this morning, will again face host SU Wednesday beginning at noon. Oregon Tech will need two wins over the Red Hawks to advance to the NAIA Softball World Series. SU needs just one win Wednesday to move on. All games will be broadcast on ESPN 93.3 FM and 960 AM with live links at www.OITsports.com. Kelly Scott (5-4) did not allow a base runner over the first two innings, allowing the Tech offense to get it going in the top of the third with five runs. Ali Graham drove in two on a single, while Tre Sullivan tripled down the right field line driving in two. A Sadie Birch RBI single gave Tech a 5-0 advantage. That would be all the runs and run support needed by Scott. Scott allowed no runs on five hits and struck out four. McKenzie Shrum, Tre Sullivan, Sadie Birch and Karly Leveque recorded two hits apiece with Sullivan driving in two run and Ali Graham a single and two RBI.
