Southern Oregon Claims 2015-16 All-Sport Trophy
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the spring championships completed Southern Oregon University has emerged as the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Trophy Champion for 2015-16. This is the first All-Sport award for the Raiders, who finished second last year.
SOU claimed league titles in men's cross country, women’s basketball and men’s track/field to finish the year with 196.56 points. The Raiders also picked up valuable points with a second place finish in volleyball.
In second place was College of Idaho with 185.18 points. The Yotes were champions in women’s track/field and earned second place points in women’s soccer, women’s cross country and men’s cross country.
Eastern Oregon, Oregon Tech and Corban University round out the top 5 with 177.24, 173.27 and 173.10 points respectively. EOU earned first place points in volleyball while Oregon Tech was first in men’s golf. The Warriors of Corban earned first place points for their championship in women’s golf.

Points are based on regular season finish and are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport. Final points and standings are determined using each institutions eight highest place finishes.
