BOISE, Idaho – It was a sprinter's day at the Border Clash, hosted by Boise State, as the College of Idaho speedsters recorded a school record and added four Cascade Conference qualifying marks to their ledger at Dona Larson Park.

The 4x100-meter relay team shaved another four tenths of a second off their school record, as Malik Whitfield, Tyler Higby, Devin Gaskins and Joseph Bolin traversed the oval in 42.17 seconds.
 
Higby wasn't done, as the junior ran the fastest 100-meter time (10.92) since track returned to the College in 2005.
 
Teammate Kevin Wang clocked a pair of conference qualifying times, running 11.35 seconds in the 100-meters and 23.16 seconds in the 200-meter – while Gaskins (22.86) and Edmund Ellis (23.00) both added qualifiers in the 200-meters.
 
Brooks Ney improved his season-best time in the 400-meters hurdles (55.35 seconds).
 
In two weeks, the Yotes head to the Cascade Conference Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, in Hermiston, Ore.
