NAIA Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings Released
CLEVELAND – In the first set of spring Learfield Directors' Cup standings the NAIA. Olivet Nazarene surges into first place in the NAIA standings by accumulating 263 points in the spring thus far.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference has eight representatives in the standings led by reigning CCC All=Sport Champion Southern Oregon in 7th place. The College of Idaho is in 12th followed by; Northwest Christian 35th, Eastern Oregon 41st, Oregon Tech 61st, Warner Pacific 102nd, Evergreen 116th and Corban 140th.

nd with a total of 799.75 points. The Blue Raiders had top-five finishes in men’s and women’s tennis and scored in men’s and women’s track and field. Wayland Baptist has accumulated 775 total points by having top-10 finishes in men’s golf and men’s track and field, along with scoring in women’s golf and women’s track and field. Oklahoma City is in 4
th after capturing the national title in men’s golf, collecting a top-10 finish in women’s golf and scoring in men’s and women’s track and field.
Biola has dropped from the top spot to no. 5 overall after adding a top-10 finish in women’s track and field.
The Sooner and Crossroads Conferences lead all NAIA conferences in the top-10 with two institutions each – Wayland Baptist (3
rd) and Oklahoma City (4
th) from the Sooner Conference and from the Crossroads, Indiana Wesleyan (8
th) and Marian (9
th).
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports in Division I – 10 men’s and 10 women’s; and 12 sports in the NAIA – six women’s and six men’s.
The final NAIA standings and the next Division I spring standings will be released Tuesday, June 14.
