SALEM, Ore. – Corban University head men's golf coach Tom Graves announced the 2016 Warrior men's golf recruiting class on Tuesday, naming six golfers that would be joining the Warriors in the fall of 2016.
"Our 2016-17 men's golf recruiting class may be the most experienced class we have ever produced," said Graves. "All of these men live and breathe golf. With four incoming freshmen and two junior college transfers, our depth and talent is off the charts. Look for Corban men's golf to be national contenders this upcoming year!"
Isaac Calderon – 5' 8" – La Quinta High School – Indio, Calif.

Calderon comes to Corban after an accomplished high school golfing career in Southern California. While defeating more than 100 competitors and winning the Riverside Cup individual championship in 2015, he led his team to the Riverside Cup Championship as well. He also garnered Inland Empire All-Tournament honors twice and captained his team to a pair of undefeated seasons.
"Isaac is a very dedicated golfer with extensive tournament experience, both as a high school golfer and as a junior golfer in Southern California," said Graves. "He has a great swing and we cannot wait to have his talents at Corban for the next four years! Welcome to the Warrior family, Isaac!"
Kasey Crossland – 6' 3" – Buhl High School – Buhl, Idaho

Crossland, a multi-talented athlete who excelled at the high school level, played four years of varsity golf, basketball, track, and football at Buhl High School. Highly talented on the golf course, Crossland accumulated a 70.7 scoring average and won the 2016 individual State Championship in Idaho while leading his team to the State Title as well. On top of completing the 'double' in 2016 (individual and team titles), the team state championship capped off the 'four-peat' for Buhl High School, making it four-straight State Championships in men's golf.
Crossland plans to major in exercise science at Corban.
"Kasey had an incredible high school career and will make an immediate impact on our team," said Graves. "He is a multi-talented individual and will be playing both golf and basketball at Corban. Welcome aboard, Kasey!"
Marcus Frazier – 6' 4" – Lebanon High School – Lebanon, Ore.

Frazier, another multi-sport athlete in high school chose to play golf for the Warriors thanks to his skills on the links. He collected All-State accolades in both 2015 and 2016, and landed on the Mid-Willamette Valley All-League Team during three of his four years on the high school golf squad at Lebanon. During both his junior and seasons, Frazier placed third overall as an individual at the State Championships while leading his team to an appearance at the State Championships in 2015.
Frazier plans to major in Interdisciplinary Studies at Corban.
"Marcus had a great high school career and we look forward to him carrying the momentum he has moving into his freshman year at Corban," said Graves. "Look for Marcus to do big things as a Warrior! Welcome to Corban, Marcus!"
Zachary Lund – 5' 8" – Shelton High School – Olympic College – Shelton, Wash.

Lund joins the Warriors following successful high school and junior college playing careers. After playing well at Shelton High School, Lund attended Olympic College where he garnered First-Team All-League honors and was the individual medalist in two events, highlighted by a 25' putt to clinch his second individual collegiate victory.
Lund plans to major in Business Management, and hopes to continue his golf career following his time at Corban.
"Zach brings with him some great college golf experience as a transfer from Olympic College," said Graves. "His tournament resume and leadership will make an immediate impact by adding much needed depth to our young team. We cannot wait to have you compete as a Warrior, Zach!"
Cameron Salkeld – 6' 1" – Orange Lutheran High School – North Tustin, Calif.

Hailing from Southern California, Salkeld joins the Corban men's golf team after four years of competitive high school golf. While being named the Most Valuable Player during three of his four years and collecting the Lancer Award, Salkeld will look to build on those experiences and continue to thrive while at Corban.
Salkeld plans to major in Business at Corban.
"Cameron brings with him great enthusiasm and charisma," said Graves. "I can already tell he will be a true team player for us. He also has a lot of tournament experience between all of the high school and junior golf tournaments he played down in Southern California. Welcome to the Warrior family, Cameron!"
Jake Swanger – 6' 0" – Lakeside High School – Olympic College – Nine Mile Falls, Wash.

Swanger rounds out the 2016 Corban men's golf recruiting class, and he brings loads of talent to the Warriors. In high school, he was a four-time First-Team All-League honoree and competed at the State Championships on three occasions. In 2012, he led his team to a second-place finish at the State Tournament. Additionally, Swanger garnered All-Conference accolades while at Olympic College and helped his team to a second-place finish in the conference.
Swanger intends to major in Business with the intention of moving into Management after college.
"Jake is also a junior college transfer from Olympic College in Washington," said Graves. "His extensive tournament experience, his drive/passion for the game, and his determination to finishing out his college career strong will go a long ways during his two years at Corban. Welcome to the Corban family, Jake!"
