SALEM, Ore. – Corban University head women's basketball coach Michelle Skyles announced her 2016 recruiting class on Thursday, naming seven players that would be joining the Warriors for the 2016-17 campaign. Skyles began as the head coach at Corban in early May.
"The one thing these girls and I have in common is that we're all new to Corban," said Skyles. "With that in mind, we all want to come together and get in sync as quickly as we can so that when the season starts, we're on the same page and ready to go. We want to see how far we can take it this coming winter and beyond."
Maddey Pflaumer – 5' 11" – F – Issaquah HS – Seattle Pacific Univ. – Issaquah, Wash.

Pflaumer comes to Corban after an accomplished playing career at NCAA Division II school, Seattle Pacific University. While averaging 10.3 points per game as a junior in the 2014-15 season with the Falcons to go with 4.5 rebounds, she garnered GNAC Player of the Week honors once. During her career, she finished with 501 points while serving as a mainstay in the starting lineup for the Falcons. During the 2014-15 season, she served as the team's leading shot-blocker with 38 on the year. She finished her degree in 2015 and elected not to use her one remaining year of eligibility from her redshirt freshman year in 2011-12.
Prior to playing collegiately, Pflaumer was the Class 4A Kingco Player of the Year as a senior at Issaquah HS in 2011, averaging 14.7 ppg while leading her team to the Crest Division Title with a 13-1 conference record and a 17-7 overall record. As a four-year varsity player, she landed on the All-Kingco First Team as a junior and was a team captain for two years.
Pflaumer will be pursuing her Master's degree in the School of Counseling at Corban.
Lily Henry – 6' 0" – F – Layton Christian Academy – Morgan, Utah

Henry, a highly-touted high school player, joins the Warriors after a successful high school career. While being named a McDonald's All-American nominee in 2016, Henry averaged 18.4 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game. In addition, she was an All-State Honorable-Mention honoree and an All-Area Second-Team award-winner. Moreover, Henry was named the John Watson Player of the Week while at Layton Christian Academy and led her team to the Utah 3A State Championship game in 2013 and 2014. On top of high school ball, she also played on the Salt Lake Metro team.
Henry plans to major in Health Science with the intention of becoming a Pediatric Nurse.
Jordan Smith – 5' 9" – W – Mt. Spokane High School – Spokane, Wash.

Smith comes to the Warriors from Mt. Spokane High School where she experienced an outstanding career and was coached by Corban graduate, David Pratt. While leading the team in scoring, she led her team to a 16-11 record during her senior season and a fourth-place finish at the Washington State Tournament. She was then invited to play in the Jack Blair All-Star Game last week, which features the best players of the Greater Spokane League against the best throughout the region.
During her team's run in the State Tournament in 2016, she finished with games of 10 points, 18 points, and 19 points in the run to the semifinals. She also scored 24 points on a 7-for-11 effort from the three-point line in three quarters in another contest, and scored 20 points on just seven field goals against the eventual 4A State Champion, Central Valley.
Smith plans to major in Criminal Psychology.
Ally Gambill – 6' 0" – W – North Eugene High School – Eugene, Ore.

Following an accomplished high school career, Gambill joins the Warriors hoping to make an impact right away. While playing all four years on the varsity team at North Eugene High School, she led her team to a pair of State Championships in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. During the 2015-16 campaign, Gambill received Second-Team All-Midwestern League plaudits, and she was a team captain during both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
Gambill intends to major in Business with the hopes of becoming a Lead Controller/Accountant.
Hannah Shore – 5' 8" – G – Bonneville High School – Ogden, Utah

Hailing from Ogden, Utah, Shore joins the Warrior ranks after a standout high school career at Bonneville. While playing both basketball and soccer during her high school career, she raked in the awards. Playing on the varsity team all four years of her career, she averaged 15 ppg and was named to the All-Area First Team during her senior season. Additionally, Shore played for the Salt Lake Metro and the Salt Lakers for club basketball teams not during the high school season.
Showing her versatility, Shore also garnered Second-Team All-Area honors on the soccer team in high school and was named to the All-State Honorable Mention squad, leading the region in scoring during her junior year. She also helped her team to the State Championship during her freshman campaign.
Shore intends to major in Business.
Brianna Turner – 6' 1" – C – Nooksack Valley High School – Everson, Wash.

Turner joins the Warriors after a diverse high school career which saw her play three sports for four years. While captaining her team to the State Tournament during her senior year on the basketball team, she experienced four years of success at Nooksack Valley High School. On top of high school ball, she also played AAU ball as well. Moreover, she was a key member of the volleyball and softball teams at her high school for four years.
Turner intends to major in Heath Science with the hopes of becoming a Pediatrician.
Shelby Campbell – 6' 5" – C – North Eugene High School – Cottage Grove, Ore.

Campbell comes to Salem to play at Corban after playing four years of varsity basketball at North Eugene High School. While serving as a force on the inside, Campbell was consistently a mainstay in the middle, forcing opponents to think twice about coming down the lane with her shot-blocking abilities. Campbell helped her team to the State Championship in both the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. On top of basketball, she also competed on the volleyball and track & field teams while in high school.
Campbell plans to major in elementary education with the intention of becoming a primary teacher.
"The players we have coming in should mesh well with our returners and have a common ground of faith, passion for the game, camaraderie, drive to succeed in the classroom, and overall great character traits," said Skyles. "The seven we have joining our team are excited to be a part of this program and the mission of Corban University. We all are ready to get this season started and see where our future will lead us."
