KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Head coach Greg Stewart announced the recent addition of Kaihna Brown (Redmond, Ore.) to the Oregon Tech softball program.  Brown transfers to OIT after one year at NCAA DII Northwest Nazarene.

Brown had a very successful high school career at Redmond High School where she batted .413 with 112 hits including 12 home runs and 51 stolen bases. In her injury shortened freshman year at NNU, she hit .310 with 3-doubles, 2-triples, had one home run, and was 11 for 12 in stolen bases.

“Kiahna will be another quality addition to this year’s recruiting class,” mentioned Stewart.  “She has very good speed and is a versatile player who will give us more options in the future defensively and she can hit for both power and average.”

Kiahna is the daughter of Don and Jennifer Brown and plans to study medical imaging at Oregon Tech this fall.

Oregon Tech will kick-off its fall ball season with a double header scrimmage on Saturday, October 15 at the University of Oregon in Eugene at noon. The Lady Owls will then return home for a scrimmage against SWOCC on Sunday, October 16 at noon. The Owls will conclude their fall ball schedule with a scrimmage at home against College of the Siskiyous on Saturday, October 29 at Noon.
