Victoria Wins Men’s Coastal Collegiate Classic, Corban Top among CCC Teams

GLENEDEN BEACH, Ore. – With Lawren Rowe leading the way, No. 14-ranked University of Victoria (B.C.) won the men’s Coastal Collegiate Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the Salishan Golf and Spa Resort, and among the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) programs, the Corban University men’s golf team was the top-finisher while No. 13 Oregon Tech was the CCC’s second-best squad.

Victoria ran away with the competition, finishing with a total of 848 (277, 271, 300), while Corban showed consistency and ultimately finished with the best three-round mark in program history at 867 (290, 290, 287). Oregon Tech, which finished in third overall recorded a mark of 890 (295, 295, 300).

Individually, Rowe carded a three-round score of 199 (67, 64, 68), finishing at 14-under par, while Oregon Tech’s Montana Frame finished in second place with a three-round score of 206 (68, 67, 71).

Corban finished strong as a team, with the No. 4, 6, 7, and No. 8 finishers at the tournament, as well as the No. 10 golfer, ultimately leading to the top finish among CCC programs. Aaron Seabrook finished with a tournament total of 215 (69, 76, 70), while Devery Stewart carded a three-round score of 217 (75, 73, 69).

Houston Knox was Oregon Tech’s next-best golfer, and he tied for 10th with a tournament total of 224 (72, 76, 76). After that among CCC programs, Jeremie Eloy of Warner Pacific finished in 12th place at 227 overall (79, 71, 77).

The CCC programs return to action next week on Monday and Tuesday at the Warner Pacific Fall Shootout. Competition will take place September 26-27 at the Glendoveer GC.
