Oregon Tech Women Lead Wire to Wire at Warner Pacific Invite
RESULTS
PORTLAND, Ore.- The Oregon Tech women’s golf team led from the start and cruised to the title at the Warner Pacific Invitational at Glendoveer Golf Course. The Owls were 15 strokes clear of 2nd place Corban after 36 holes of play.
The Owls placed four golfers in the top 5, and didn't need the outstanding effort of individual medalist Noemi Ernst who was not among the scoring members of the OIT team. Corban was off the pace set by OIT, but had a solid tournament led by Casey Jansen in 6th place (80-78=158). College of Idaho came home in 3rd as the Yotes' Natalie Mullins tied for 3rd place individually with Janelle Ferlan of Oregon Tech.
Ernst finished the two round tournament with a 151 total (73-78), winning the event by 4-strokes over Tech’s Stephanie Koza who finished in 2nd place with a two day total of 155 (80-75).
The CCC teams will meet again in tournament play on October 10 at the Walla Walla Invite held at Wine Valley GC.
