Deerfield, Ill. – With sophomore forward Lexi McQueary leading the way, the Corban University women's soccer team downed Trinity International University on Saturday on the road, 1-0. For the Warriors, it serves to be a big win over a team that competed in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round in 2015.

"We created a lot of opportunities and controlled the pace of the game," said Corban head coach Likius Hafeni. "It was good to get a win on the road against a good team."
McQueary scored in the first half for the Warriors, and that would be all they would need en route to earning their second shutout win of the 2016 campaign.
Corban (2-2) returns to action on Monday, September 5, when it closes out the road trip against Trinity Christian College (Ill.). Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. PST.
