LA GRANDE, Ore. –NAIA Director of Membership Services, Chesney Allen headlines a stellar group of presenters for the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Compliance Seminar that will be held Sunday September 11th.
 
“We are fortunate to have these individuals available for our seminar, stated CCC Commissioner Rob Cashell. “The caliber of expertise they each bring will no doubt make for a very educational event for our attendees.”
 
Allen oversees the NAIA Legislative Services department, as well as leading efforts to engage membership at the campus and conference levels by finding new ways to provide added value, ranging from traditional core operations to innovative new services. Allen received her JD from the University of Kansas School of Law, along with a Business & Commerce Law Certificate.
 
Joining Allen as presenters will be Stephanie Upshaw, Mickie Bush and Dr. Bryce Bernard.
 
Upshaw is the Assistant Athletic Director at Eastern Oregon University and oversees student athlete eligibility/compliance. Before joining EOU Upshaw received her Master of Education and Certification in Sports Management in 2012 from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
 
Bush has served as the CCC Eligibility Chair since 2004. The Seattle Pacific University graduate is the Associate Registrar at Oregon Health & Science University.  In addition to her duties in the CCC Mickie serves on the NAIA home-school review committee.
 
Bernard is the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) at Corban University and serves as the CCC FAR Chair. Bernard is a member of the NAIA National Eligibility Committee (NEC) and was the recipient of the NAIA Wally Schwartz Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year Award.
 
The seminar, held every three years, brings together campus personnel that have a direct responsibility in ensuring compliance with conference and NAIA policies and procedures are adhered to.
