The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period August 29-September 4.

Garrett Kraal
Men’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Garrett Kraal has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Kraal, a junior from Kennewick, Wash., won his first collegiate race, claiming a 22-second victory at the CCC Preview Meet. Beacons tied for first-place in the event, losing on a sixth-finisher tiebreaker.
 
Honorable mention: Billy Godfrey, CI, Craig Boekenoogen, CRB
 

Alfredo Lara
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Alfredo Lara has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Lara, a senior from Salem, Ore., recorded seven saves, allowing only one goal in three games.  
 
Honorable mention: Jordan Farr, CRB
 

Tyler Hoiem
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Tyler Hoiem has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Hoiem, a junior from Hillsboro, Ore., tallied four goals in three games for the Mountaineers, leading them to a 3-0 record for the week.
 
Honorable mention: Raul Segoviano, NCU
 

Janessa White
Volleyball – Attacker
 
Warner Pacific’s Janessa White has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
White, a senior from Salem, Ore., swung for 47 total kills (4.27 per set) during a 2-1 week for Warner Pacific in CCC play. She currently ranks #3 in kills per set and #5 in hitting percentage on the overall conference stat list.

Haley Wells
Volleyball - Defender
 
Corban’s Haley Wells has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
Wells, a junior from Albany, Ore., experienced a fantastic defensive weekend for the Warriors, racking up 43 total digs en route to leading the Warriors to a pair of wins.

Madison McLain
Volleyball - Setter
 
Corban’s Madison Mclain has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
Mclain, a sophomore from Albany, Ore., went above the '50' mark in both four-set matches over the weekend, totaling 105 assists in eight sets for an average of 13.13 assists/set. Corban won both matches.

Sierra Brown
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Sierra Brown has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Brown, a senior from Medford, Ore., finished first overall in the CCC Preview Meet by 12 seconds, clocking in at 18:12. The defending NAIA champs dominated the first meet of 2016, sweeping the top 7 spots.

Kylie Moltzen
Women’s Soccer Defensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Kylie Moltzen has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Moltzen, a senior from Fremont, Calif., made seven saves in a 5-0 win over UC Merced, tying the most of her career in a shutout. She brought her SOU-record shutout total to 15 1/2.
 
Honorable mention: Lia Unterholzner, RMC
 

Lauren Aldana
Women’s Soccer Offensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Lauren Aldana has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Aldana, a senior from Elk Grove., Calif., helped the Raiders improve to 2-0 for the first time in team history with the first two-goal game of her career against a team that had shut out its first two opponents.
 
She tallied SOU's first score in the 15th minute and its third in the 49th. She now has seven career goals.
