How it Happened
Nortwest University jumped out to an early lead on the back of their strong defense as Paul Loranger hit a mid-range jumper to give his team a 10-0 advantage. The Eagles' ball movement and hot shooting overwhelmed the Wolves in the early going. A three by Michael Dupree extended their lead to 18 at 20-2 midway through the half. It seemed that whenever the Wolves would establish a rhythm on offense, Michael Dupree would squander it with his shooting. In the second half it was more of the same by the Eagles. They kept their foot on the gas pedal with offensive rebounding and high percentage threes. Northwest's lead continued to grow slowly but steadily throughout the remainder of the contest as the Eagles finished the job, winning it by a score of 91-55.
