How it Happened

The Wolves played well on the defensive end in the early stages of the contest, forcing the Eagles into taking difficult shots. They struggled on the other end, however, as Northwest opened up an early 7-2 lead. The dominance in the paint by Miranda Langenhorst helped the Eagles to a 23-4 lead at the end of the first, and a 38-16 lead heading into the half. The Wolves began to chip away at the lead in the second half, as Alyssa Blankenship and Emily downs caught fire from the floor. It wasn't enough, however, as the Eagles were able to close out the victory by a score of 73-53.
