La Grande, Ore.- The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period January 9-15.


Brandon Halter
Men’s Basketball
Oregon Tech’s Brandon Halter has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week of the week.
Halter, a senior from Glide, Ore., helped the Hustlin Owls to a sweep of the weekend games. On Saturday he led Oregon Tech with 25 points, going 7 of 12 from long range on the way to a 90-57 victory over No. 17 The College of Idaho. Sunday, Halter scored 20 points, going 7 of 13 from the field, as Tech knocked off No. 5 Eastern Oregon 98-81.

Juston Lindsley
Men’s Indoor-Field
The College of Idaho’s Juston Lindsley has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Lindsley, a junior from Grangeville ,Idaho, Crushed C of I's school record by 2.5 meters, winning the weight throw with a mark of 54-6 3/4, hitting the NAIA "B" standard at the Jacoby Invite.

Matthew Kirkendall
Men’s Indoor-Track
Eastern Oregon’s Matthew Kirkendall has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Kirkendall, a senior from Menifee, Calif.,, set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Jocoby invite with a time of 8.29 seconds.

Autumn Durand
Women’s Basketball
Southern Oregon’s Autumn Durand has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the week.
Durand, a senior from Onalaska, Wash., led the No. 4 ranked Raiders to two wins over the weekend and kept the SOU CCC record at a perfect 10-0.
In one of her most efficient weekends Durand went 14-of-21 from the field and 5-of-9 from 3-point range against No. 17 EOU and The College of Idaho. The Raiders defeated Eastern 77-68 and CI 101-68.

Hayley Morse
Women’s Indoor-Field
The College of Idaho’s Hayley Morse has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Morse, a junior from Boise, Idaho, Established an NAIA "B" mark in the shot put (43-1) at the Jacoby Invite, while advancing to the final of both the shot and weight throw.

Women’s Indoor-Track
Northwest’s 4 x 800 relay team have been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athletes of the Week.
Running in their first indoor meet of the season, the team finished second to Trinity Western's "A" team, defeating Gonzaga's "A" team and Trinity's "B" team in the finals and just .19 seconds behind the first place TWU team. NU ran a 9:50.06, just .06 short of the NAIA "B" qualifying time for the event. The team consisted of: Cassidy Brown, Lily Engelbrekt, Sarah Estabrook and Mia Valerio.
