Top Eight Mascots Advance to Quarterfinals
LA GRANDE, Ore. – After 48 hours of fan voting the top eight CCC mascots have been identified and will advance to the quarterfinals
. Each mascot is seeded based on the number of votes they received in round one with the rest of the tournament will be single elimination until a champion is crowned on Feb. 9.
Seeded No. 1 will be Corban's Cadmar the Warrior with 236 likes. Seeded second will be defending champion Yote the Coyote from the College of Idaho with 231 likes followed by; Monty the Mountaineer-167, Wally the Wolf-166, Hootie the Owl-52, Mr. Beacon-28, Speedy Q. -28 and finally Nitro the Knight-23. The tie between Speedy Q. and Mr. Beacon was broken by a coin flip at CCC headquarters.
Eliminated from the challenge was Rocky the Raider, Swoops the Eagle and Leo the Lion.

An added incentive is that our conference winner will automatically gain a spot in the first ever NAIA-SIDA Mascot Challenge that will take place shortly after the conference challenge is completed. Thirty two NAIA mascots will advance to the national challenge that will also take place on twitter.
