How it Happened
The Wolves were very efficient on offense to open the game, shooting 5-7 from the field en route to an early 10-2 lead. Walla Walla opened up a 10 point lead at 22-12 when Ethan Osias continued his run of hot shooting by burying a triple. The Wolves' lead only continued to grow as Alec Calloway hit a three of his own to extend their lead to 30-14 and force Lions' head coach Curt Bickley to call a Timeout. Something lit a spark in Alec Calloway in the first half, as he scored eight straight for the Wolves in a matter of a couple minutes. The Lions managed to come back thanks to their dangerous attack from beyond the arc, cutting the Wolves lead to three at 43-40 with two minutes remaining in the first half. Walla Walla was able to hold on to their lead as the two teams headed to the halftime break with the wolves leading 52-49
It was the Wolves who gained momentum in the early stages of the second half as a three from Alec Calloway put them up by 9 at 62-53. Multnomah refused to roll over, of course, as they were only down two with 10 minutes remaining in the game. Walla Walla's hot offense was clicking on all cylinders, though, as they were able to construct another healthy 11 point lead with 6 minutes left to play. A triple from Multnomah's Darius Redrick brought the Lions within seven at 100-93 and provided his team hope of a comeback. That hop was later squandered by Isaiah Taylor as he drained a dagger of a three to put the wolves up 108-99 with 45 seconds remaining. The Wolves went on to secure a 112-103 victory.
