Wolves Fall at Home to Warner Pacific College

College Place, Wash- The Warner Pacific Knights (8-11,4-7) defeated the Wolves (3-17,2-10) on Sunday afternoon by a score of 96-72.
By the Numbers
- Warner Pacific was lethal from beyond the three point line, shooting 14-33 on the game (42.4%)
- The Knights' offense was led by Keaton Bankofier who tallied 20 points and 6 rebounds.
- The Turnover battle was handily won by the Knights (WWU-21, WPC-11)
- The Wolves were led by Freshman Zayne Browning who scored 19 points, and Alec Calloway who racked up a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

How it Happened
Both teams were neck and neck in the early stages of the game, with the Wolves holding a 6-5 lead with five minutes past. The Wolves were able to manufacture a 10-5 lead when Joey Inman found Andrew Nye for a driving lay-in. But only a couple minutes later the Knights fought their way back to take their first lead of the game at 15-14. Warner Pacific began to pull away in the closing minutes of the first half with Keaton Bankofier hitting a deep three to put his team up 9 at 33-24 with two and a half minutes to play before the break. The Knights held a 39-33 lead as the first half expired.
Both teams played efficiently on offense to open up the second half. However, The three point shooting by the Knights helped them keep a healthy 9 point lead at 50-41 with four minutes gone in the second half. With ten minutes left in the game, Kaleb Tompkins drained a triple to give the Knights a ten point lead at 61-51. Warner Pacific never looked back from there, as they controlled the remainder of the game on their way to a 96-72 victory
