Hootie the Owl Advances to Semifinals of Mascot Challenge
LA GRANDE, Ore. – In the most closely contested quarterfinal so far ,No. 5 seed Hootie the Owl from Oregon Tech upset No. 4 seed Wally the Wolf from Walla Walla University to advance to the semifinal round in the 4th annual CCC Mascot Challenge.Hootie tallied 54% of the 181 votes with 98 while Wally finished at 46% with 83 votes.
An added incentive is that our conference winner will automatically gain a spot in the first ever NAIA-SIDA Mascot Challenge that will take place shortly after the conference challenge is completed. Thirty two NAIA mascots will advance to the national challenge that will also take place on twitter.
