College Place, Wash. -The Knights three first-half goals prove to be the different in a victory over the Wolves today.  However, the second half belong to Walla Walla as they scored three goals and came up just short of a comeback in a 4-3 loss to Warner Pacific.

Javier Sanchez put a ball through the defense to Harry Pilkington for the opening goal of the match to put Warner Pacific up 1-0 early.  Just a minute later, Fernando Ibanez bounced a ball off the left post into the goal for the Knights second goal.  The Knights went into the half up 3-0, and Walla Walla had struggled to get shot on goal in the first 45 minutes.

The second half could not have been more different than the first.  The Knights put in a goal in the 77th minute of the match.  After that, it was all Walla Walla.  Jordan St. George dribble through the defense and nailed a ball from 25 yards over the top of the keeper for Walla Walla's first goal at home in over two seasons.  Just a minute later, Zarin Santos took a pass from Emmett Semple across the middle and put the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal for the Wolves second goal of the match.

Rain started to fall lightly late in the match, making for slick conditions on an already wet field.  Andrew Nye took a shot from 30 yards out, and a wet ball went through the keeper's hands into the goal to make the score 4-3.  Walla Walla had a couple of chances in the final two minutes but failed to score the tying goal, and Warner Pacific managed to hold on for the victory.

This was the first time Walla Walla has scored multiple goals in a game since September of 2015.

The Wolves have the remainder of the weekend off.  Their next match is at Northwest Christian on October 20.
