College Place, Wash. – Northwest University entered today's match having won four of its last five matches and the Eagles remained hot as they beat the Wolves in straight sets tonight.  Northwest committed only three errors in the match, and Wolves struggled to get into a rhythm.

The Eagles took control early in the opening set, behind a .538 hitting percentage.  Northwest's Amanda Waterman had five kills as the Wolves struggled to control the fierce attack from the visitors.  Walla Walla's Lauren Barlow had 4 kills, but it was not enough as Northwest took the first set 25-11.

Walla Walla's Caldora Blackburn scored the opening point with a kill from the right side to open the second.  But Northwest quickly took the lead, and never looked back.  The Eagles libero, Alysanne Van Dyke, was key in the second set.  Van Dyke finished the match with 23 digs and in the second she seemed to be all over the court for Northwest.  Walla Walla fought hard to the end, but a kill from Aubrey Saelens ended the second set 25-16 in favor of Northwest.

Northwest carried their momentum into the third set, jumping out to an 8-2 lead over Walla Walla.  The Eagles used a variety of attackers tonight, and in the third set, they had six different players register a kill.  Walla Walla struggled to get their attack going and committed nine errors in the third set.  With the match on the line, Northwest's Brooke Riddle scored an ace to take the third set 25-12 in a sweep of the Wolves.
