 The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 16-22.


Riley Sine

Men’s Cross Country

Northwest’s Riley Sine has been named the Red Lion men’s cross-country Runner of the Week.

Sine, a sophomore from Spokane, Wash., won the men’s 8K race at the William Jessup Warrior Invitational at Spring View Park, Calif., on Saturday morning. Riley defeated a field of 114 runners representing four NAIA Top 25 teams. Sine ran the course in 24:29, finishing six seconds in front of the second place finisher and 21 seconds ahead of the third place runner.

Daniel Christenson

Men’s Soccer – Defense

Northwest’s Daniel Christenson has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Christenson, a senior from Bothell, Wash., was solid in goal for the Eagles over the weekend and was a key player in the two conference wins. In the 1-0 win over Carroll, Christenson made a crucial save with just 14 seconds remaining in the game to preserve the win. However, the biggest save of the game came in the 67th minute when he stopped a Carroll penalty kick.

Timur Zhividze

Men’s Soccer - Offense

Timur Zhividze of Corban has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Zhividze, a senior forward from Vancouver, Wash., exploded offensively over the weekend, scoring five goals while also dishing out three assists in Corban’s two big wins. He now leads the CCC with 33 points, as he is tied for he league with 12 goals and owns the league lead with 9 assists.

Elliott Cook

Volleyball - Attacker

Southern Oregon’s Elliott Cook has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball attacker of the week.

Cook, a freshman from Grants Pass, Ore., led SOU in kills every match during a 3-0 week. In Wednesday’s win at OIT, her total kill (22) was the highest for an SOU freshman and average (.645) the highest for any Raider with 20-plus kills since Josh Rohlfing took over as head coach in 2014. Cook’s 22 kills were also the most for any Raider in a four-set match since 2014.

Alysanne Van Dyke

Volleyball - Defender

Alysanne Van Dyke of Northwest has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball defender of the week.

Van Dyke, a senior from Edmonds, Wash., had another solid weekend as the Eagles posted a 2-1 road record including a straight set upset of No. 14 Eastern Oregon in La Grande on Friday. She averaged 6.22 digs per set and had a .750 serving percentage. Van Dyke continues to lead the Cascade Collegiate Conference in digs per set with a 5.6 per game average.

Morgan Pilon

Volleyball-Setter

Morgan Pilon of Northwest has been named the Red Lion volleyball Setter of the Week.

Pilon, a senior from Olympia, Wash., averaged 9.75 assists per set on the Eagles road trip this past weekend as they posted 2-1. Pilon led the team in service aces with seven total aces and averaged 1.88 digs per set.

Jessa Perkinson

Women’s Cross Country

Jessa Perkinson of Southern Oregon has been named the Red Lion women’s cross-country Runner of the Week

Perkinson, a senior from Roseburg, Ore., won for the second week in a row as well as the William Jessup Warrior Invite for the second season in a row. Her finishing time of 17:00 cleared the runner-up by 34 seconds. This weekend’s win was Perkinson’s third time this season she’s been the top collegiate finisher, helping boost SOU to 4th of 7 in the team standings.

Bethany Bullers

Women’s Golf

Bethany Bullers of Corban has been named the Red Lion women’s golf Athlete of the Week.

Bullers, a freshman from La Quinta, Calif., won her second straight tournament for the Warriors, taking medalist honors at a rainy and windy Vikes Shootout north of the border with rounds of 77 and 76.

Brittany Houghton

Women’s Soccer – Defense

College of Idaho’s Brittany Houghton has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Houghton, a senior from Saratoga Springs, Utah, logged 12 saves in the 0-0 draw against RV, making it her fourth career 10+ save match. Houghton additionally picked up her 31st career win versus Warner Pacific on Senior Day.

Lauryn Gamache

Women’s Soccer – Offense

Rocky Mountain’s Lauryn Gamache has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Gamache, a sophomore forward from St. Louis, MO, scored a goal in each of the Bears home games this week. She now has 12 total goals on the season.
