Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Obtober 2 - 8.
Alex Martin
Men’s Cross Country
College of Idaho’s Alex Martin has been named the Red Lion men’s cross-country Runner of the Week
Martin, a sophomore from Bend, Ore., was a top non- Division I runner at the Color Country Classic over the weekend with a finishing time of 19:24.

Yayo Olvera
Men’s Soccer – Defense
Northwest Christian’s Yayo Olvera has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Olvera, a sophomore goalie from Cardiff, Calif., made seven saves as NCU played to a scoreless draw with No. 5 Corban. The tie was the Beacons’ first ever-positive result against an NAIA Top-25 team. Olvera dropped his GAA to 0.79, which is second in the CCC and ranks in the top-15 in the NAIA.

Angel Trejo-Delgado
Men’s Soccer - Offense
Angel Trejo-Delgado of Evergreen has been named the Red Lion men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Trejo-Delgado, a freshman forward from Federal Way, Wash., increased his team-leading goal total to seven by scoring four this past weekend, helping the Geoducks to improve their CCC road-record to
4-0-0.

Amanda Miller
Volleyball - Attacker
Eastern Oregon’s Amanda Miller has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball attacker of the week.
Miller, a senior from Kennewick, Wash., was outstanding on Friday against Oregon Tech with 24 kills, setting a career high in the five-set victory. On Saturday, Miller finished with nine kills; just two short of breaking EOU’s career kills record of 1,261, set in 2009 by Grace Deboodt.

Alysanne Van Dyke
Volleyball - Defender
Alysanne Van Dyke of Northwest has been chosen as the Red Lion volleyball defender of the week.
Van Dyke, a senior from Edmonds, Wash., had a match high of 32 digs in the win over Evergreen State College averaging 6.4 digs per game.

Maci Beierle
Volleyball-Setter
Northwest Christian’s Maci Beierle has been named the Red Lion volleyball Setter of the Week.
Beierle, a senior from Yakima, Wash., quarterbacked an offense that hit .304 on the weekend as NCU rolled to their fourth and fifth consecutive three-set victories. The senior was also 6-for-12 on dump sets without an error, including a 5-for-6 night against Warner Pacific. Beierle averaged 12.5 assists per set on the week and collected 20 digs and five blocks. Her 40 assists against Multnomah was the secondhighest total in school history for a three-set-match.

Molly Vitale-Sullivan
Women’s Cross Country
College of Idaho’s Molly Vitale-Sullivan has been named the Red Lion women’s cross-country Runner of the Week
Vitale-Sullivan, a sophomore from Pocatello, Idaho, finished fourth behind three NCAA-I runners at the Color Country Classic in Utah on Saturday. Vitale-Sullivan finished with a time of 14:39.

Cydni Cottrell
Women’s Soccer – Defense
Cydni Cottrell of Eastern Oregon has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Cottrell, a sophomore from Pasco, WA, recorded back-toback shutouts on the road against two of the top teams in the CCC. Cottrell’s strong play this season (5 shutouts, 0.67 goals against average) has the Mountaineers at 6-0 in CCC play and five points ahead of second place Corban. Cottrell has shutouts in four of the last five matches for Eastern Oregon who are receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll.

Taylor Boyer
Women’s Soccer – Offense
Eastern Oregon’s Taylor Boyer has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Boyer, a junior midfielder from Eugene, Ore., scored her first career goals as a Mountaineer over the weekend, tallying 3-in-2 matches against SOU and OIT. The University of Oregon transfer scored her first goal after driving right past the SOU defense then followed that with a 28-yard rocketed kick that found the top right corner. Boyer’s goal at OIT on Saturday in the 80th minute made it 2-0, sealing the Mountaineers’ 6th straight victory.
