Women’s Basketball: Wolves Fall to Blues

Walla Walla, Wash. –Whitman came out firing on all cylinders in the first half, shooting 72% from the field in the first quarter and building a 25-9 lead.  Walla Walla was not able to recover, losing 82-41 to the Blues.
 
Whitman's Makana Stone and Emily Rommel combined to go 12-15 from the field in the game, causing Walla Walla defensive issues in the paint.  Whitman continued to generate points through the post in the second quarter and went into halftime up 46-14. 
 
The Wolves began to pick things up in the third quarter.  Carolina Montes scored 8 points in the quarter and sparked Walla Walla's offense.  The Wolves scored a total of 14 points in the quarter but found themselves down 68-28 going into the fourth. 
 
Walla Walla scored another 14 points in the fourth, but the Blues lead was too much to overcome. 
 
The Wolves play again tomorrow night, against Rocky Mountain College.  Game time is 7:00 p.m.
