Visiting Lewis-Clark State College built a 31-point lead at the half and rolled past The Evergreen State College, 72-53, in a non-conference men's basketball game played Wednesday afternoon inside Costantino Recreation Center.

The Warriors (8-1) shot 59 percent, including 9-for-13 from three-point range, while the Geoducks (0-4) shot just 25 percent and turned the ball over nine times in the opening 20 minutes. Evergreen battled throughout the second half, shooting 47 percent compared to just 32 percent with 12 turnovers for the visitors, but the outcome had been decided by that point.

Pat Ling scored a career-high 20 points on 9-for-18 shooting, and he added a team-high four assists to lead Evergreen, which shot 39 percent for the game. Jaurence Chisholm added eight points, three blocks and three steals, and Ryan Quigley led the home team with nine rebounds. 

Jeremy Franklin hit four three-point baskets on the way to a team-high 16 points for the Warriors, who also got 10 points from Cory Dollarshide and at least eight points from four other players. Lewis-Clark State shot 47 percent overall, finished with 21 assists on its 27 baskets, and enjoyed a 40-28 dominance on the boards.

Evergreen returns to action at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 28, when it hosts non-conference opponent Pacific University.
