EOU falls 84-70 in Exhibition at Division I Idaho 12/21/2017 7:09:46 PM BOISE, Idaho. – In an exhibition game on Thursday night at CenturyLink Arena, the No. 8 Eastern Oregon women’s basketball team fell 84-70 to NCAA Division I opponent Idaho. The Vandals used a large advantage on the boards of 49-28 to take down the Mountaineers. Idaho finished with 14 offensive rebounds and held EOU to just three, limiting the Mountaineers’ second-chance opportunites. Junior guard Maya Ah You Dias once again led the team with 17 points, shooting 7-for-11 from the field as EOU actually outshot the Vandals 42 to 41 percent from the field. Ah You Dias added six rebounds and four assists. Senior forward Stormee Van Belle was right behind her teammate with 16 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Senior guard Jessica Sexson had 10 points and fellow senior guard Payton Parrish added nine. For the Vandals, Taylor Pierce finished with 29 points as she went 7-for-13 from behind the arc. Mikayla Ferenz added 21 points and eight rebounds while Geraldine McCorkell led the team with 13 boards. The Mountaineers (12-2, 5-0 CCC) next have back-to-back road games at Walla Walla after the break. EOU will visit the Wolves on Dec. 29 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 6 p.m. tip off on Dec. 30 from College Place, Washington.
