SALEM, Ore. – Corban University Athletics announced on Friday that it is officially raising money that will go towards funding a new state-of-the-art athletic complex on campus.

"I am excited to announce Corban University is raising funds to construct a new Athletic Complex to meet the growing needs of our highly successful Warrior athletic teams and our intramural programs," said Corban Director of Athletics Greg Eide. "The new complex will house a state-of-the-art track & field complex, an all-weather turf soccer field, an all-weather turf softball field, and an all-weather turf intramural/practice field. The entire complex will have lights to create more academic options for class schedules, and provide our teams the ability to practice after dark."

In addition, an all-weather turf baseball field is part of a future phase of the University master plan.

"Currently, we do not have a facility for our 70+ member track & field team, and due to poor drainage, it is necessary to relocate many of our soccer and softball games to offsite locations," said Eide.

For over 11 years now since the start of the program, Corban's track & field program has produced numerous individual conference champions and All-Americans, all without having a track to train on. With a track on campus, the possibilities for more student-athletes to participate, as well as having a facility to practice will become a reality.

Moreover, the current grass soccer and softball fields on campus often cannot be used due to poor drainage once the wet season hits the Willamette Valley. Despite the conditions, Corban soccer teams have qualified for the National Tournament in each of the last five years, and the Corban Softball team capped off the best-ever season for a Warrior team, advancing all the way to the NAIA National Championship game in 2017, finishing as the national runner-up.

"A $6 million dollar two-phase project like this is not possible without a significant number of 'partners' willing to join us in investing into the lives of our students," said Eide. "We would greatly appreciate your prayerful consideration of a significant investment or a five-year pledge to partner with us in providing this opportunity for our athletic programs and students as we continue building on our increasing success and pursuit of excellence."

$1.3 million has already been raised to fund this project. If you would like to partner with Corban University and Warrior Athletics to make this dream become a reality, CLICK HERE to help fund this historic project.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact Greg Eide, Director of Athletics, at geide@corban.edu or 503-375-7021.

"Thanks again for your partnership," said Eide. "It is greatly appreciated. Go Warriors!"
