College Place, Wash. – The Wolves face Lewis-Clark State College this evening,  losing 93-56 after a grueling battle with the Warriors.

Lewis-Clark owned the first half of the game against the Wolves, ending at half up 49-22. Roy Zavala started the Wolves off strong with a 3, giving the Wolves an early 3-2 lead.  But it was all Lewis Clark from there as they jumped out to a 19-3 lead.  Alex Calloway led the Wolves in the first half with 5 points.

The Wolves came out after halftime and scored four points in a row off drives from Dylan Browning and Zavala. The Warriors were quick to retaliate, stretching the lead to 27 points with 15 minutes to go. With 10 minutes left Calloway and Zavala put in back-to-back baskets as Walla Walla attempted to close the gap. While the Wolves fought hard to the end they failed to slow down Lewis-Clark, who defeated Walla Walla 93-56.

Warriors were led by Andre McCowan with 19 points and Darius Alexander with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Leaders for Walla Walla were Zavala with 18 points, Calloway and Cameron Silver who each had seven rebounds, and Wesley Burke who finished with three assists.

Walla Walla heads to Portland next week to take on Warner Pacific College on Friday.
