Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period February 6-12.
Jake Eddy
Baseball- Pitcher
The College of Idaho’s Jake Eddy has been named the Red Lion baseball Picher of the Week.
Eddy, a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, Retired all 12 men he faced, including eight strikeouts, in 6-2 non-conference win over Oregon Tech.

Cole Mansanarez
Baseball-Player
The College of Idaho’s Cole Mansanarez has been named the Red Lion baseball Player of the Week.
Mansanarez, a senior from Blackfoot, Idaho, Went 6-for-8 from the plate, including a homerun and six RBI’s in two non-conference wins over Oregon Tech.

Kentrell Washington
Men’s Basketball
Eastern Oregon’s Kentrell Washington has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week of the week.
Washington, a senior from North Las Vegas, Nev., averaged 27-points and 10-rebounds in EOU’s wins over Southern Oregon and No. 15 Oregon Tech.
Washington scored a career-high 38 on Senior Night against the Hustlin’ Owls.

Brooks Ney
Men’s Indoor-Field
The College of Idaho’s Brooks Ney has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Ney, a senior from Caldwell, Idaho, hit an NAIA “A” standard in the heptathlon at the Mountain States games finishing 3
rd out of 12 competitors. Ney won the shot put event and placed third in the 1,000 meters and the 60-meter hurdles.

Matt East
Men’s Indoor-Track
Southern Oregon’s Matt East has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
East, a junior from Modesto, Calif., finished sixth in the 60-meter dash at Saturday's Husky Classic in Seattle, registering a time of 6.92 seconds that made him a provisional qualifier for the NAIA Indoor Championships. He also has an auto time in the 200 and ranks third nationally.

Gabby Sandoval
Softball-Pitcher
Southern Oregon’s Gabby Sandoval has been named the Red Lion softball Pitcher of the Week.
Sandoval, a freshman from Anaheim, Calif., picked up wins in all three of SOU's games over the weekend, throwing a three-hit shutout Friday against William Jessup and entering in relief on Saturday to combine for 10 scoreless innings against WJU and sixth-ranked Simpson.
Sandoval is now 4-0 and has not allowed a run in 23 1/3 innings.

Jessie Isham
Softball-Player
Corban’s Jessie Isham has been named the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.
Isham, a sophomore from Salem, Ore., hit .500 over the weekend with a team-best three home runs and team-leading 10 RBI’s. She racked up seven hits and eight runs scored while leading the Warriors to four wins.

Kiara Skinner
Women’s Basketball
The College of Idaho’s Kiara Skinner has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the week.
Skinner, a senior from Cody, Wyo., averaged 21-points and 5-rebounds as the Yotes knocked off No. 22 Oregon Tech and fell to No. 5 Southern Oregon.
Skinner nailed 10- three pointers on the weekend.

Hayley Morse
Women’s Indoor-Field
The College of Idaho’s Hayley Morse has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Morse, a junior from Boise, Idaho, Broke C of I's school record in the weight throw with a mark of 14.99 meters (49-feet, 2 inches) competing at the BSU Team Challenge.

Lila Klopfenstein
Women’s Indoor-Track
The College of Idaho’s Lila Klofpenstein has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Klofpenstein, a senior from Meridian, Idaho, anchored the winning DMR at the BSU Team Challenge, hitting the NAIA "A" standard with a Top-10 national time.
She also hit the NAIA "A" standard in the 3,000-meters at the UW Open by nearly 15 seconds.
