How it Happened

It was Oregon Tech who jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after Joel Yellow Owl converted from inside. The Owls' five point lead quickly ballooned to ten when CCC player of the week Bryan Beard converted a tip-in to put his team up 12-2 with four minutes gone in the first half. Just as the game looked to  be getting out of hand, Dylan Browning converted and and-one to cut the Owls' lead to 10 at 18-8. Although the Wolves found success on the offensive end, much of the first half was dominated by the three point shooting of Oregon Tech. The Owls continued to expand their lead as a trey by Brandon Halter put them up by 20 at 51-31 with four minutes left in the half. Oregon Tech held their lead through the halftime buzzer as they headed into the break with a 57-33 lead.

The Owls picked up right where they left off before halftime, going on a 9-2 run fueled by the always consistent low-post play of Bryan Beard. With ten minutes to play in the game, Bryan Beard converted an and-one to give the Owls their largest lead of the contest at 82-46. The Owls continued to control the game for the remaining minutes on their way to a 111-67 victory.
