How it Happened

The game was tight during the early stages, and remained close as the two teams hit the midway point of the first quarter with Oregon Tech leading 13-8.  The Owls began to create some separation when the CCC player of the week Ashleigh Vanderbrink scored back-to-back buckets to put her team up by ten at 19-9. Oregon Tech held a 25-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Owls opened up a 20 point lead three minutes into the second when Morgan Roberts drove hard into the lane and finished to put her team up 33-12. Oregon Tech continued to put the hammer down in the second quarter as they locked down on the Wolves' shooters on their way to a 50-18 halftime lead.

The third quarter began with 12 straight points by the Owls before Lexi Ehlers responded by scoring the Wolves' first four points of the second half. Walla Walla continued to struggle on the offensive end, while the Owls continued to find ways to get to the line where they were near perfect, shooting 18-22 (81.8%). Oregon Tech was able to close out the game, winning it by a final score of 114-41.
