CCC Basketball Officials Working NAIA DII National Championships
LA GRANDE, Ore.- Three Cascade Collegiate Conference basketball officials were chosen to work the NAIA D II Men's and Women’s Basketball National Tournament. The 32 team tournaments are being held in Point Lookout, Missouri and Sioux City, Iowa March 8-14.
Making his third trip to the men’s championships is 12-year veteran official Mike Bernatz. The Portland, Oregon resident has experience in NCAA D II and III, as well as the NAIA.
Making his first trip to the women’s tournament is Scott Crews. The Missoula, Montana resident is a 13-year officiating veteran working both the NAIA and NCAA D III. Another newcomer to the women’s tournament is Matt Head. Head resides in Keizer, Oregon and has eleven years of officiating experience in the NAIA and NCAA D III along with three years of D II experience.
CCC teams that qualified for the championships include;
MEN- Northwest Christian, Eastern Oregon, Oregon Tech, The College of Idaho, Corban;
WOMEN- Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon, Oregon Tech.
