Corban Baseball is heading back to Cuba for its third-straight year on a Mission Trip.
SALEM, Ore. – Corban University head baseball coach Jeff McKay announced on Saturday that the Corban University baseball team is headed back to Caimanera, Cuba, on a Mission Trip. For the Warriors, it marks the third-straight year Corban has brought its baseball team to Cuba for Missions work.
"We are humbled and inspired with the opportunity to return to Caimanera to spread God's love and grace," said McKay. "It is such a privilege and honor to spread the gospel. God is opening doors in that part of the world. The team has just developed a heart for the people in that city. I am so proud of this year's group of players stepping up to serve. Our choice is to love people and honor God. Those cannot be done separate of each other. Thanks to the Corban administration for sharing the vision with us on this outreach."
In June of 2015, Corban Baseball made history by becoming the first American baseball team in Caimanera in nearly 60 years, and the Warriors were just one of the few American teams to ever play on Cuban soil since the Cuban revolution of 1959. During that trip, seeds were planted and bricks were laid, and now after the 2016 trip of building on the 2015 experience, the Warriors are prepared to do even more in 2017.
In order to help make this trip possible, the Warriors are asking for your prayerful consideration to help financially, if you feel led to. CLICK HERE to help Corban get to Cuba. Make sure to select "Cuba Baseball Mission Trip" in the designation drop-down portion of the donation.

Corban will travel to Cuba in 2017 from June 3-10. The following is the 2017 trip verse: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare, and not evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Evangelist Mike Silva was one of the originators of the trip who shared the vision with Coach McKay for the first time and he had the following to say about this year's Cuba trip.
"We are building bridges through baseball in Cuba," said Silva. "The Corban players are opening up the country for us to spread the gospel. It is coming very quickly when thousands and thousands of people will say yes to Jesus Christ because of Corban Baseball."
Pastor Glenn Wilson and Pastor Jay Silva will once again be the trip leaders, and they will be coming to Corban on April 21-22 to speak in chapel, meet with University administration, leaders, students, and the team.
The other trip leaders accompanying Coach McKay will be Jacob Kopra, Darren Milionis, and Tim Seiber. The Warrior baseball players set to go on the trip are:
