NU's Estabrook Sets NAIA "A" Standard in 5k
PORTLAND, Ore. – Northwest University’s full day at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open was highlighted by Sarah Estabrook’s NAIA “A” qualifying time in the women’s 5000m run.
Estabrook took second in a field of 38 runners coming in with a time of 17:35.18 just under the NAIA standard of 17:36.3. Lily Engelbrekt was 5th in the women’s 1500m run with her time of 4:39.20.
TJ Randle won the men’s 400m hurdles beating out a field of 18 other athletes and finishing with a time of 55.37 just over the NAIA “B” standard of 54.65. Brian Guisinger was 9th in the men’s 800m run crossing the finish line at 2:03.65.
CarrieAnne Steele was 10th in both the long jump and triple jump events. Her distance in the long jump measured 5.01m (16-5.25) and 10.47m (34-04.25).
